Our Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment is a popular option for those aspiring to become qualified assessors. Formerly recognized as the A1 Assessor course under the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), it has now been superseded by the TAQA (Training Assessment and Quality Assurance) suite of qualifications.
This NVQ assessor course, accredited by UK OFQUAL, encompasses assessment techniques applicable to diverse industry sectors such as nursing, culinary arts, and hospitality. Our online course provides comprehensive assessment expertise regardless of the learner’s background, enabling proficiency in assessment methodologies across different vocations.
Unit 1: Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
Unit 2: Assess occupational competence in the work environment
The assignment entails both a written component and a practical demonstration of assessment skills.
Participant must assess a minimum of two learners who are enrolled in a competency-based course. If individuals do not have access to learners for the practical component due to lack of placement, they can take advantage of our Trainee Assessor Positioning program. Through this program, we provide support for completing practical assessments for learners.
The course provides modules that can be completed at one’s own pace, spanning anywhere from a week to four months. Nonetheless, access to the course expires after a year, and there is a re-enrollment fee.
